The Building

HDI Hive Menteng created in collaboration with an international architecture company in Indonesia, which needed 2 years of manufacture. HDI Hive Menteng was renovated in February 2015 and inaugurated on August 6th, 2016.HDI Hive Menteng is a land area of 2,553 sqm with 9 floors of office space covering 7,244 sqm. The building has 3 floors of basement parking area, 3 passenger lifts and 1 service elevator.

Inspired by beehives, our goal is one of the most unique buildings in Jakarta. The exterior specially designed with outer layer, 1569 individual panels and 5 degree led laser lights, resembles the beehive itself.The interior is made exclusively to create warm and comfortable environment, so you may feel like at your own home. HDI Hive Menteng has 810 m2 conference facilities, Auditorium 250 seater, Meeting Lounge, Dedicated Meeting Room, Kids Club with Nursing Facility.

The Concept

HDI Hive Menteng design concept is "Family Inspired". We want people to feel as if they were walking into something modern, warm, inviting yet strangely familiar, almost as they were entering their ideal home. The building itself conceptualized as a giant beehive. We were inspired to create the external hexagon cladding when we superimposed the cells of a beehive onto the external drawings. We also incorporated greenery into the design, wood and greenery is used extensively to represent nature and there are many elements in the shape of hexagons throughout the entire building. All this comes together to create an icon in Menteng, Jakarta.
